VEW SH A14505 RED

The VEW SH A14505 RED module is a redesign of the module of the same name by the original manufacturer Chauvin Arnoux.

The redesign can be used in place of the original plug-and-play in the specified application.

The function is that of an analogue adjustable monitoring of the voltage drop across a shunt resistor.

If the input trigger value, which can be set in the range of 10...100mV, is exceeded a relay is activated.

To avoid "fluttering" of the relay in the range of the trigger value  the reset value at the "Hysteresis" controller can be set below the trigger value in the range from 5% to 40%.

At the factory default mode, the module is set to a tripping trigger value of 75mV with a hysteresis of 20% set. Relay ON: >75mV, OFF: <60mV The switching function is "true", i.e. the relay is energised when the set trigger value is exceeded, the contact between terminals 11 and 14 is closed, the LED (yellow) is active.

If the value falls below the trigger value by 20% (input <60mV), the relay is de-energised, the contact between terminals 11 and 14 opens, the contact between terminals 11 and 12 
closes and the LED is dark.

The inverse switching function of the relay can be selected by opening the housing  and changing the slot of a jumper on the circuit board.
 

With the inverse switching function, the relay is energised below the set trigger value, the contact between 11 and 14 is closed, the LED (yellow) is active. When the trigger value is reached, the relay drops out and the LED (yellow) ist switched off, the contact between 11 and 14 opens.

The switching point of the set trigger value is reproducible with an accuracy of 0.1%.The module is available in a 45 mm, "snap-on housing" for DIN rail. The function and terminal assignment correspond completely to the original device.
