Product Information
The redesign VEW MCT2 RED is fully pin- and function-compatible and can
be used in place of the original MCT2 from Bode.
The VEW MCT2 RED is the plug-and-play hardware platform for a door
control system.
The assembly features at connector X1:
21 binary control inputs (24VDC)
2 analog signal inputs (0–12VDC)
and at connector X2:
8 signal outputs (24V, max. 75W)
and 2 H-bridges for controlling max.
15A). External DC drives (combined
A SAB80C537 MCU, in combination
with software specifically adapted to door kinematics (in PROM), controls the
door operation.
The software is provided or should be installed in the PROM by the user.
The analog signal inputs, three reference voltages adjustable via trimmers,
and the internal supply voltages are evaluated via the 12-bitA/D converter.
Trimmers, reset button and LEDs are located beneath a viewing window.
For each H-bridge, the voltage drop of the load currents is measured at a
10mΩ shunt and fed to the MCU’s A/D converter for monitoring.
An additional hardware-based overcurrent protection disables the H-bridge
in the event of a short circuit.
Due to the frequent thermal damage in the area of the signal input filters on
the original MCT2, this area has been replaced by a replaceable piggy-back
module with 1W resistors.
The redesigned assembly is tested by the manufacturer using test software
and delivered with a test report.
The control sequence in the target application is determined by the original
control software used.
As of the current development status (as of 28.06.24), two different versions
of the control software are used:
version “Mannheim” and version “Heidelberg”.
The assembly can be delivered with, or without a housing.
Existing original housings can be used for the dimensionally and mounting-
compatible redesign.
